2011 Trip – Cali Day 2: Disneyland

12 10 2011

California: where it’s hot during the day and cold most other times. I always assumed that California weather was hot with it being situated near the equator but I guess I forgot to factor in that it’s also close to the ocean. Our first night, the weather was nice and cool. While Mark and I enjoyed the coolness, Caren didn’t seem to enjoy it too much..haha. Apparently she’s cold all the time.

So we all went to bed freezing but woke up sweating and in our case, all the blankets on the floor. What the eff? How is it THIS hot? I guess the thermostat was programmed so the A/C turned off in the middle of the night – not cool! Literally. BUT I did wake up to the yummy smell of bacon; Caren’s in-laws were already awake and cooking breakfast. mmmMMM!

This is the massive table we all sat and ate at every morning and on select mornings, where I would blog.

Ok, so that table doesn’t look so massive in the picture but believe me, it is. Or maybe they had a bigger table or an extra leaf added to the table before we arrived.

Morning #1 at this gorgeous house proved to be chaos when we began to get ready. There were 3 families: 14 people in total (9 adults, 5 kids) and only two bathrooms. TWO. I think that was one of the reasons our “early” leave-the-house-time always ended up being more like close to noon. haha. Oh well.

Off to Disneyland we go!! I think I was more excited about Disneyland than July was. Like most adults my age or older, we grew up watching all the classic Disney cartoons and Disneyland was always someplace I dreamed about. Sure, July grew up watching Disney movies, but it’s not the same as watching Donald Duck go bonkers because Daisy had another suitor. Or when Chip and Dale drove Pluto mad by living in the tree that Mickey cut down for Christmas. I tried my best to hide my excitement but inside I was giddy :D .

Lucky for us, the rental home we were staying at is about a 5 minute car ride away. I didn’t realize how big the place was until we had to park in the Toy Story parking lot far away from the gate. It was so far away that they had shuttle buses that took you from the parking lot to the front gate. As we approached the bus stop in the parking lot, we realized that they had a ticket booth set up so you can purchase your tickets even before you left the parking lot. How efficient!? We decided to purchase a Southern California CityPASS which bought you: A 3 day hopper pass to Disneyland including Disney California Adventure Park, Universal Studio’s Hollywood, SeaWorld and the San Diego Zoo all for one discounted price. Sounds great right? My credit card didn’t think so, she got a poor beating that day. hahaha!

The shuttle bus that went back and forth between the Toy Story parking lot and the front entrance.

At the front entrance - which really isn't the front.

To the left is the entrance to "Disney California Adventure Park" and to the right "Disneyland"

I'm so giddy!! "Let the memories begin!"

The front gates all dressed up for Halloween.

Eeeek! So excited!!

Just beyond the gates is "Main Street, U.S.A." - a little town made of shops and such.

"Main Street, U.S.A."

After doing some poking around in some of the shops, we went straight to “Tomorrowland” because the oldest nephew was eager to ride “Space Mountain”. We picked up FastPASSes once we got there. These are offered at specific attractions for specific times. You get your pass, come back at the time the pass is good for and lineup in the FastPASS line which usually cuts your wait time dramatically. Ok, I digress, again..haha.

Guess who we saw while waiting around “Space Mountain”? David Grohl! Ok, the truth is, I don’t know who this guy is nor what made him famous. Mark and Jr. were the ones who spotted him.

Me: Who’s David Grohl?

Mark (with a shocked look on his face): The lead singer of Foo Fighters!??! You don’t know who David Grohl is??!

Me: Go take his picture then! Hurry! I’ll take your picture with him.

Mark: No thanks.

So all that fuss for a ‘no thanks’. hahaha. I guess it didn’t really happen if I don’t have the pictures to prove it. But it did happen!

I know this is getting long but I have one important thing to share, a video. After we got our FastPASSes for Space Mountain, we went to an exhibit called “Innoventions”. There we met ASIMO. Who is ASIMO? Just watch :) .

Innoventions was such a neat place. It was like Winnipeg’s “Touch the Universe” science exhibit at the museum only on steroids. hahaha.

The rest of the day was just full of happy memories; waiting in line, having our first churro, going on rides and just having a great time.

@ Innoventions I learned that this is what I'll look like when I get older.. hahaha!

My first of many churros :) . It's basically the equivalent of our mini donuts - batter, deep-fried and dusted with cinnamon sugar. Only they're long tubes as opposed to donuts. NOM NOM NOM.

Space Mountain Ghost Galaxy - A crazy high-speed, ride with fast turns and dives...all in the dark! Lights, sounds and ghostly images flash all around you. You have no clue what's coming up in the ride as you're thrown left, right, up and down.

The hat suits her personality :p.

Cute little house in "Storybook Land" - looks life-size right?

As you can see by the tops of their heads, the buildings are really tiny.

"The Haunted Mansion" Nightmare Before Christmas

The last ride before we head home - see, it was light out when we got in line and dark by the time we got close to the front.

After a full day at Disneyland (and I mean a full working day) and only seeing 1/3 of the whole park, we left the park to find some food and call it a day. Thank goodness we had 3 day hopper passes so we can come back and see the rest of the park :) .

Trip 2011 Day 5 – bye bye Vegas, hello California!

10 10 2011

Day 5, Wednesday. After having full intentions of waking up around 1:00 am to go for the nightly walk that Mark and I had yet to do this trip only to find that it was already 8:00 am, I had the sad realization that our time in Vegas was over. Mark did try to wake me up early when his alarm went off at 1:00 but I guess we were both just really tired from the days before that we just continued sleeping. Of course I’m kicking myself now because it would’ve been great to do what we usually do in Vegas; wander, play some penny slots and have a few drinks…just the two of us :( . Can I have that time back please? Stupid regrets!

Getting back to “Day 5″: packing. I hate packing. Only difference this time is that you don’t have to think about WHAT you’re bringing, just that you have everything you brought. We still had some time between check-out and our flight, so we checked our bags into the security at the hotel for a few hours and said good-bye to mom and dad (Mark’s parents were headed home that day and wouldn’t be joining us in California). We split up with Caren’s family for a few hours as they had their own plans while we had ours; showing July the spot that Mark had proposed to me :) . I had to show July, it was a must for this trip. So enjoying the sun we head off down the strip on foot. By now July knew Planet Hollywood/Miracle Mile Shops very well considering we were there every day but on our way I pointed out other points of interest; Paris, Bally’s, the pedestrian bridge that had the bum with the awesome sign (“My dad got killed by ninja’s, need money for karate lessons”), O’Shea’s (one of our usual hangout spots) and everything else on that side. I wish we weren’t so rushed because I had wanted to do this walk with Mark and July the whole trip.

We finally get to the bridge at Venetian and my heart goes a flutter. Corny, lame, whatever you might call it, I don’t care…hehe. I needed to take a picture with Mark as we’ve done for the past three years :) .

My ♥ at the Venetian - not quite at the proposal spot.

Me and my other ♥ at the exact spot where he proposed three years ago. *swoon*

The pictures didn’t come out as I had hoped because as soon as I pulled out my camera, what do you know, the battery was dying :( . I also didn’t get enough time to reminisce because we were in a rush to check out a few more stores before we were due to meet up with Caren’s family back at the hotel. I’ll see you again next year Venetian bridge – that’s a promise ;) .

Next stop; the “David & Goliath” store inside the Venetian.

Hubby posing in front of the Davide & Goliath store.

Mark and I love this store for their silly t-shirts and knew July would love them too. Of course I couldn’t take any photos because a) camera died and b) no time. I couldn’t find July’s t-shirt online (“Boys have feelings too, I just don’t care”) but here’s a picture of mine :D . hahaha!

The shirt I bought :)

We figured we’d make use of the bus passes we still had left over from yesterday which would also give us some more time if we didn’t have to walk back. So we head to the bus stop in front of Fashion Show Mall. Because we’re nuts and had half an hour, we figured we’d go shopping. haha. Poor Mark didn’t have any shopping done so we went straight to his favourite store, Pacsun. After trying on a few jackets and sweating ( I was, not him..haha) we had to leave empty-handed to head back. So we hopped on a bus back to Miracle Mile Shops.

It was lunch time and there was one more thing we had to do before leaving; eat at a fast food restaurant that we stumbled across during one of our many walk-throughs of the mall: Lobster ME.

Lobster; fast food style! WOWZERS!

My shrimp roll & July's Lobster Mac & Cheese.

I didn’t get to take a photo of Mark’s food: The Lobster Roll. The food was spectacular and decently priced too. Mark’s roll had HUGE chunks of lobster and so did July’s Mac & Cheese. Next year when we return, I’m having either the Lobsicle (yup, a lobster on a stick, lightly battered and deep-fried) or Lobster & chips. See you next year Lobster Me!!

Off to California we go!

Funny story – I had to get patted down at the airport security after my full body scan showed some spots, on my head. HAHAHAHA!! “Ma’am, I’m going to have to pat your head down.” She proceeds to pat me down. “Oh, I see. Ok. You’re free to go”. LMFAO!! Reason for the pat down: my extensions. LOL!! My whole head must’ve glowed red with all the metal attached to my hair. Extensions you say???!! what?! I’ll write about that experience, one day :p.

Our $32 flight on jetBlue lasted maybe an hour, was turbulent as eff BUT we got a full can of pop and these awesome kettle corn popcorn chips. We flew into Long Beach, California and I assumed, since Long Beach is a fairly well-known city that we’d be arriving at a nice airport. NOPE. First sign it was ghetto: we got off the plane using ramps onto the tarmac. Second sign it was ghetto: walk up-to one of those buildings that look like a temporary, portable building which just so happens to be their airport terminal. Yup, it’s ghetto. I thought the Winnipeg terminal was small and old, Long Beach wins. Or lose. haha. We picked up our luggage at an almost outdoor carousel. Oy.

After picking up our rental car, the fun began. Neither of the three families (us, Caren’s and Pink Elephant) had a GPS so we were going by google map directions…on the freeway. I don’t like freeways. After a slight wrong turn, we’re finally on our way to Anaheim to our rental house.

Holy gorgeous rental house! And of course I don’t have any photos. boo. But luckily, I found the posting here. I have nothing but great things to say about this house and the owners; which I will write a full review on at a later time. We shared the house with Caren’s family (I hope by now you all know that that’s Mark’s sister) and her husband’s family. It was literally a home away from home.

Our first day in California consisted of unpacking, getting lost and shopping at Walmart Supercenter. Things I just couldn’t get used to while in USA: seeing beer nicely placed on pallets right beside toilet paper as you walk into Walmart, taking the freeway to get anywhere and everywhere, being in shock at ALL the yummy foods you cannot find in Canada, how much cheaper everything is and having to pay physical cash or credit almost everywhere. #1 on our shopping list that evening; a GPS. hahaha.

Dinner consisted of In N Out burgers, The kids swam in the nice pool that evening before calling it a day. Yup, all of that happened in one day. Wait until you read the rest of our stay in California, each day is just as busy.

Las Vegas 2011 – Day 4

5 10 2011

It was such a busy/crazy/awesome day the day before which turned into another really late night (but then again, most nights in Vegas are). My age must really be showing this time around since I’ve called it a night way before everyone else did.

The next morning I woke up early (considering what time I went to bed) and was craving Filipino food. Remembering that mom and dad said that there was a Filipino restaurant just around the corner from our hotel, I woke up July and off we went exploring. Wow, it really was around the corner! haha.

Kapitbahay Restaurant is located in the Hawaiian Market but I could never find it until now. It is very secretively tucked in WAY at the back south corner of the market.

Kapitbahay (neighbour) Restaurant...walk in and select your ready-made food.

Nothing beats Filipino breakfast when you have a slight hangover and the lingering feeling of liquor squishing around your stomach.

Longsilog - Longanisa (BBQ pork sausage), Itlog (egg) & garlic fried rice

I’m not sure if it’s a Southern US thing but their rice had pieces of celery in it. It wasn’t bad but it certainly was different. Either way, it tasted so gooooOooOod going down.

Enjoying our first rice meal since leaving home.

The fourth day was when most people were leaving to go home which saddened me because it felt like it wasn’t enough time with them. I felt like I really didn’t get to  hang out with everyone enough because we were constantly going. Oh well, there will always be another time and we definitely can’t refuse a trip to Vegas again :) .

Today we decided it would be our shopping day since we haven’t done any and go for lunch at The Cheesecake Factory. Since The Cheesecake Factory was in Caesars, we thought it was a great opportunity to walk through the hotels and show the kids a little bit of Vegas on foot. I got a warm, fuzzy feeling walking through Aria, Vdara and the Bellagio – it reminded me of our honeymoon *swoon*. The kids loved the garden in the Bellagio. And of course my camera battery died :( . No worries, I still have photos from my phone which I hope to upload soon enough.

Posing at my favourite Patisserie...which I never did get to buy snacks from :( this trip.

The gorgeous garden at Bellagio was set up in an Autumn theme.

My most favourite dish at Cheesecake Factory - tempura Ahi Tuna roll...delish!!

After a wonderful lunch, the kids went back to the hotel with the brother-in-law while Mark went to the casino and sister, cousin and I went to check out the biggest H&M I’ve every seen! I thought Toronto’s was big but it has nothing on this one….3 floors! If any of you have been to Vegas about three or more years ago, there used to be a VERY BIG wooden horse at the FAO Schwarz. Well that’s where H&M is now – just to give you an idea of the size.

Three massive floors and all I ended up with was a blazer for myself and socks specifically requested by my Kuya.

After shopping by ourselves, we took the kids onto the Gold Express Line (Vegas transit) to the outlet mall. Well, just like most of our trip, we had arrived very close to closing time so we were in a mad scramble to go shopping. July was able to find a pair of shoes for dirt cheap ($30) and that was about it for my family.

The original plan was for all of us to go to Fremont again on the way home since the Express Line passed through it. Well with a very sleepy husband and very tired little kids, we decided against it. But I wasn’t quite ready to call it a day – it was only 9 pm and it was our last evening in Vegas. So when the bus dropped us off across from our hotel, I kissed the husband goodnight (he needed a nap) and said good-bye to the sister-in-law and her family. Even though July’s tween self was making an appearance, I insisted to join me to wander again. So we did. Wandered through Aria to get to the free tram, took the tram to Monte Carlo…wandered through to NY, NY. This was our destination. I really wanted to show her the “mini” streets of NY that they had in the hotel as well as look for food. We didn’t really find anything we wanted to eat so we ended up at Denny’s across the street.

After wandering with July, we head back to the hotel room with the full intention that I would put July to sleep and with Grandma and Grandpa in the suite next door, Mark and I would do our wandering. I tried to fight the sleep so much that I sat in the living room on a chair. July finally woke me up and urged me to go to bed. “Just a nap” I thought as I lied down at the foot of the bed. Well our wandering never happened that evening because by the time Mark woke up – I was too tired to get up again…BOO!

And that’s how our last evening in Vegas ended – wiped out. hahaha. Guess my age is certainly beginning to show :p.

Las Vegas 2011 – Day 3, Wedding Day!!

1 10 2011

Not much went on in the morning; last-minute shopping and a little wandering with Mark. The rest of the afternoon consisted of us getting ready. The girls were in Caren’s suite getting their hair and makeup done while the guys were enjoying some time at the gun store. I would’ve wanted to come since I quite enjoyed it when Mark and I went last year but I really wanted to make sure I had enough time to get July and I ready to go.

Leaving the hotel a little bit late, I was glad we took a cab. NOT so glad when we got stuck in traffic. With only 15 minutes to spare before the ceremony started, we bolted through the casino to find the Juno Garden. What an obscure place to have a Garden; passed the casino, at the back of the hotel and on the other side of the swimming pool. Not too bad unless you’ve ever seen the massive scale of this BEAUTIFUL swimming pool.

Then it was a mad dash to get the flowers distributed and those stupid boutonnieres pinned. Side note: I hate pinning those things! I  never know how to pin them :( . By the way, Caren looked gorgeous!! As usual, I was almost in tears when I first saw her! Everyone also looked fabulous but we all know, the bride steals the show EVERY….TIME!

Beautiful people.

No photos were allowed during the ceremony but it was beautiful. Weddings make me cry and as usual, I was in tears with no tissue in sight. Mark’s comment at the end of the ceremony, “I like weddings here! They’re short!” hehehe. The ceremony lasted maybe 15 minutes. Again, I will post more photos on Facebook but here are a few:

The wedding party.

Hubby and I.

My beautiful family.

After the ceremony, a really funky bus complete with a pole (*winkwink*) and light show that took us to the very famous “Welcome to Las Vegas” sign. Again, something I have never seen :) .

Dinner was at the fabulous buffet at The Wynn. DELICIOUS!! And of course, even though July teases me all the time, I HAD to take pictures of my food.

Is your mouth watering yet?

Crab legs were money so I had to get a second helping...oink oink..haha!

The awesome day ended off with an interesting night at the XS club with our own table and bottle service.

What I love about Vegas that I just couldn’t get tired of is the wonderful treatment that a bunch of beautiful women get when they go to the club. hahaha! We bypassed line after line, paid no cover and got free drinks! The one place where I am okay with sexism. (Hey, at least I’m honest).

Las Vegas Day 2 part 2

30 09 2011

Mark and I have been to Vegas a few times and each time we think we’ve seen it all. But each time we visit, we seem to find new things to add to the many reasons why we love Vegas. Then engaged couple had all of their guests come over to our suites for a “meet and greet”  which was followed by a tour that they had arranged for all of us.

After enjoying some pizza, a double-decker bus came to pick us up for our tour. It was both mine and July’s (probably Mark’s too but I’m not sure) first experience on that kind of bus. Mark and I have seen the strip but never like this: it was almost like it was the first time I’ve ever seen the strip. Being that high up and getting to see all the beautiful lights, it was almost like we were in a movie. It was also a “top-less” bus so the breeze was quite welcome on such a warm evening.

The top of the double-decker bus.

Our first stop was Fremont so we got to see parts of Las Vegas that I’ve never seen before: one area was heavily populated with wedding chapels followed by the bail bonds area…hehe. Great combo hey? hahaha!

The view of Planet Hollywood and Paris from the top of the bus.

One of the few funny signs we saw while on tour.

Because these two these belong together like pickles and ice cream - not really..haha.

The bus was so high we just about broke some of the lights on the side of the hotel in Fremont.

The reason we were all in Vegas together <3.

(more pictures of our trip will be posted on Facebook when we get home)

After Fremont, we were dropped off at Treasure Island to watch one of the many free shows that the hotels put on in the evening. The show at Treasure Island is called “The Sirens of TI”. This was also something Mark and I have never seen. Every time we say we’re going to watch it, either we never have the time or it’s just way too busy. July was really enjoying the tour even though she was disappointed that she couldn’t go ziplining at Fremont (we just didn’t have time that day).

The last stop was Bellagio for the fountain show. Always such a gorgeous show to watch.

Many of their guests have never been to Vegas so the tour was a great way not only to give everyone a chance to hang out, but it was also a chance for us all to see some of the sights.

It was a great night that ended with me in bed knocked out on NyQuil :( . Mark was sick coming to Vegas so it was inevitable that I would get sick.

I’m trying my best to write up my blogs and while it’s getting hard to catch up, I’ll keep on trying. :)

Las Vegas 2011 – Day 2

29 09 2011

Why is it that regardless of how late I go to bed in Vegas and no matter how many drinks, I am ALWAYS up before 10? It never fails! So regardless of the fact that I didn’t get back to the hotel until 3:30, hydrated and tummy full before falling asleep around 4:30, I still was up around 9:30. Goodness. The great thing about it is that while I had a slight headache and my tummy was a little gross: no hang-over. Sweet.

Oh! I forgot to mention that our hotel suite is a really nice one! The first locked door opens to a really small foyer with two separate suites; the bigger suite consists of two bedrooms, an en suite bathroom with jacuzzi, another bathroom, a living room and kitchen…FULLY stocked with appliances (just buy groceries!). The second suite is a really small apartment style suite with one bedroom, bathroom, living room and kitchen. Both suites also have a washer and dryer. GREAT set up for a family vacation! Maybe I’ll post pictures tomorrow.

Back to day 2. Once everyone was up, guess where we went? TODAI!! Todai is an all you can seafood and sushi buffet that is conveniently located just outside our door (I’m loving this hotel more and more). This is one of our favourite places to eat in Las Vegas and I was so excited to eat there that I forgot to take pictures :( . But that’s ok, I think I took pictures of it last year.

Tummies full, as much as I wanted to head back to the hotel room to nap, I figured July and I shouldn’t. So Mark took off to the casino while July and I enjoyed some mother-daughter time. We used the excuse of needing some toiletries and snacks to go wandering so we head to the nearest Walgreen’s. The beautiful heat and sun beat down on us as we tried our best to navigate through the crowds of people. Las Vegas in September is only slightly cooler than in July, but not by much. It was hot but not humid; which I just love!

July's first time wandering the strip.

The beautiful Las Vegas City Center in the background.

In front of Monte Carlo.

I was so anxious to do with July as Mark did to me in Vegas; show me the strip by just walking. Unfortunately, with all the things we had to do while we were there, we weren’t able to do as much of that as I would’ve liked to.

July and I ended up at Walgreen’s to buy our toiletries and we probably took far to long to buy what we needed. Grocery shopping in America is always super dangerous for me; I always end up buying so many snacks! It’s so hard when there are so many awesome things that we don’t have back home in Canada.

After going in to Walgreen’s for shampoo, conditioner and hairspray but walking out with the addition of two bags of chips, dark chocolate chex mix and a bag of twizzlers, we head to M&M World since it was right next door.

Being silly and copying yellow ;) .

DANGER: You can get carried away at this wall. My faves? Dark chocolate and coconut.

Me and my "sister" enjoying our trip...hehe. That's what we've been called for days.

Watching the 3D M&M movie.

July and I had such a great time but we had to head back to take a nap because the evening was going to be a long one: meet and greet of all the guests in Sister’s room, bus tour of the strip & Freemont.

Las Vegas 2011 – Day 1

26 09 2011

You got that right! We’re in Las Vegas again! Are we a little bit obsessed with Las Vegas? You better believe it. Both Mark and I have some great memories here: My first trip which included a wedding proposal (summer 2009), leg one of our honeymoon (fall 2010) and this time we’re here with friends and family to witness Mark’s sister get married. As if that wasn’t a great enough reason for it to be a great trip, this is July’s first trip on the plane along with Mark’s younger nephews :) .

Our trip started bright and early Friday morning – we had to be at the airport before 6 am. Just like every time I’ve flown, I was scatterbrained right before we left with the anxious feeling that I might’ve forgotten something important.

July and her cousins waiting at the Winnipeg Airport.

Her 1st flight = window seat.

July did marvelously on the flight, it was almost like she’s flown before. Isaiah, the youngest nephew was the cutest as we took off: The moment the plane lifted off the ground, sweet little Isaiah cooed with glee while he raised both of his arms up in the air like he was on a roller coaster ride. “WEEEEEEEE!!!” he said. hehehe..so cute!

We connected in Vancouver, as usual, with a three-hour lay-over. Thank goodness for that extra three hours! The walk from the terminal to the US customs side was a pretty far walk and when we got there, we realized that the Winnipeg Airport forgot to give us our boarding passes for our flight out of Vancouver. So we had to make our way to the front of the airport, check-in again through WestJet’s self check-in before we could enter the US side. Oy. Vancouver airport is huge and with all the complications, we had just enough time to grab a quick bite at Burger King before it was time to board again.

In the Vancouver Airport.

Scarfing down some eats - which didn't quite sit well in my tummy because of all the anxiety :( .

The Las Vegas skyline – not as impressive when you arrive in the afternoon, that is, if you’ve never been. July was looking out the window kind of excited yet not really while I was giddy like a school girl…haha. I was excitedly pointing out building to July while we braced for a landing. Walking to baggage claim the kids were surprised by a few things: VLTs as soon as you enter the terminal and the Best Buy vending machine.

The one thing that stood out for me which is different from all the times we’ve been to Vegas; the taxi line. I wish I had time to take a picture of it but it was one massive line. As if the length of the line wasn’t massive enough, it also snaked four times. Yup. So you had to snake your way four times before you got to the front of the line – pretty impressive. Not so much when you’ve been up for a few hours, stomach upset, tired and cranky then you have to walk the line in dry, Vegas heat.

Needless to say, we were all pretty tired by the time we got to the hotel which, when you hear where we’re staying, Vegas frequenters will ask, “Where’s that?” as it isn’t one that is widely known. Stepping into the lobby, I was quite surprised! The Marriott Grand Chateau on East Harmon right beside Planet Hollywood and the Miracle Mile is a newly renovated (and I say newly because when Mark and I were here in October last year, I noticed this hotel under renovations) hotel that offers multi-family suites.

Waiting patiently for our room to be ready.

The rest of the day consisted of: grabbing a quick bite to eat the Miracle Mile shops (conveniently located across the street from our hotel), wandering the mall, witnessing the CRAZIEST downpour, a nap and then an awesome evening at the club. My first time experiencing the Vegas club scene. Gotta tell you; I love the special treatment we got at the club for being a girl. We bypassed every line and didn’t wait very long to get in….for FREE! Not only that, we also got a round of free drinks. The hilarity that ensued that evening is something I will never forgot. I just wish we saw as many famous people as the guys did: Usher, David Guetta, Will.I.Am, Apple (from BEP), Jenna Jameson and Tito Ortiz. Oh well. That finishes off a busy 24 hour day (yes, 24 hours).
